Keep the museum alive!—Donations and memberships help keep the museum exhibit at Rengstorff House, and allow us to use the house to host community events, and educational, outreach & fundraising initiatives.

Enjoy the (mostly) handcrafted holiday decor and add a beautiful backdrop for your photos on your visit this season. Support Friends of “R” House’s decorating fund to continue bringing the spark of the holiday season to Rengstorff House and Shoreline.

Jun. 11th, 2023: Learn the principles of flower design from our in-house florist, Barbara Gordon. Tea and snacks will be served. Optional docent-led tour of the museum home to follow. Ages 4 to 80+ years old are welcome. Space is limited.  Click for tickets.

This city-led speaker series with walks/tours explores Shoreline's past, present, and future, highlighting environmental themes in Shoreline's sustainability, climate adaptations, and wildlife. MUSEUM & GROUNDS TOURS

"How Shoreline's Past Can Inform Tomorrow's Adaptation Goals," will include an engaging guest panel discussing environmental themes and will include Friends historian, Martha Wallace, who will recount the history of Henry Rengstorff and the early contributions of settlers to the development of the Shoreline area.  The panel will be filmed and shared on the city website and YouTube. Pre-registration is required for attendance.

Dec 11th | History & Conservation Panel @ Michaels Bar and Grill

Learn the stories of the past through a free docent-led tour of the museum decorated for the holidays. Grab a complimentary sweet treat while you explore, and check out our collection of commemorative Rengstorff House ornaments for sale.

Museum hours are Tues & Wed, 1-4 PM, and select Saturdays 12-3 PM as follows: 12/2, 12/16, & 12/30. Donations are appreciated. 

All purchases support the museum, outreach, and events. Select ornaments are available next door at Shoreline Lake American Bistro.
