As Geenee continued to grow, they sought a scalable and reliable solution for their users to promote and share these AR experiences. Today, their WebAR builder seamlessly integrates Flowcode to drive users to exciting, innovative, and instant shopping experiences. With thousands of users, the partnership is driving the next generation of AR innovation.

The Problem

Geenee partnered with a multinational fashion brand to launch real-time virtual try-on for thousands of garments across their ecommerce site, Digital OOH kiosks, live events and other media placements. The goal was to increase brand awareness and customer confidence, as well enable more informed buying decisions. At its core, the brand also had a sustainability story to tell – the data aggregated through virtual try-on would help them more accurately decide how much of each garment to produce, as well as to reduce pollution generating product returns.

Thanks to the scalability and ease of the Geenee WebAR Builder, creating an AR try-on solution was not a problem. However, the client was looking for an easy way to direct customers into the try-on experience, particularly when it came to DOOH and live event activations, which QR codes make possible.  The client required an auto-generated solution for their users to generate QR codes on demand that directly link to the AR experiences created in real time.  Connecting QR to AR assets can be a lengthy process, requiring storage of different identifiers and parameters. In order to enable customers to securely share their AR creations without errors, or manually copying a lengthy link, they wanted to develop a scalable pre-built solution.

Flowcode's API enables AR Virtual Try-on and AR Body-tracking for Apparel and Accessories; a key Geenee AR superpower.

The Solution

Tapping the Flowcode API, Geenee AR was able to automatically leverage the API each time a new AR try-on experience was created on their clients’ platform. Additionally, using Flowcode's URL shortener within the platform reduced chances of error when translating into the ecommerce site. As a result, users never needed to leave Geenee's platform during the QR code creation and linking process.

Now, a QR code is auto-generated for users upon publishing an AR asset, providing a secure and seamless way to share and access the content from the physical world. Geenee also taps the code design customization API endpoints, allowing their end users to change the look and feel of their Flowcode to further personalize the experience.   The fashion client was thrilled with the ease of the Geenee x Flowcode solution, and within a quarter saw an overall reduction in product returns and increased conversions for the QR code enabled SKUs.  Thanks to Flowcode, they were able to more accurately track the engagement rate across OOH media placements and make more educated marketing decisions.

The Results
