Flowcode creator spotlights showcases the talents and skills from our community. Today, get to know the team from Winmo to understand how they empower sellers at companies to identify new client opportunities. We spoke with Community and Events Specialist, Jordyn Missel, who highlighted how they leverage Flowcode at events to more effectively exchange information and tell Winmo's story. Read on to learn how Winmo created a solution to foster more leads from events.

Hey Jordyn, thanks for taking the time to chat. Let's start with the basics — could you tell me a bit about Winmo?

Winmo enables companies to identify new sales opporunities with predictive forecasting and industry analytics. Our targeted contact search tool enables companies to assess their target verticals with unique insights.

Winmo’s prospecting tool helps MarTech vendors and AdTech intermediaries win more pitches with major brands. Winmo connects marketing contacts, spend, and agency details to chart the fastest course to your next big client. Daily lead alerts even tell you what to say to win their business. 


We were thrilled to see how you've integrated Flowcode with your marketing strategy. Can you share how and why you decided on Flowcode as a solution?

Being part of Winmo's marketing team, our focus is to drive our brand awareness at the top of the funnel and help enable our prospecting for potential clients. Our marketing strategy is especially reliant on live events, where members of our sales team meet professionals potentially interested in our solutions at industry events.

In order to make our event presence more actionable, we wanted a solution that helped us more effectively share information about Winmo's offerings and better enable our sales team for success. We found that Flowcode's products allowed us to do just that.

Leveraging Flowcodes, we can get more customers access to additional information frictionlessly. Similarly, Flowpage gives us an organized way to surface curated content about our product that is relevant to the client audience at the event. They can then keep that information with them beyond the event itself.


Can you elaborate on how you're leveraging Flowcode products at live event engagements?

Right now our team uses Flowcodes and Flowpages to get exclusive Winmo insights and information in front of attendees, easily to access, while at industry events. We use these tools almost as another avenue to reach our ideal prospects and clients. Some specific ways we’re utilizing them are:

  • Creating ‘digital business cards’ as phone background wallpapers for Winmo sales team members
  • Driving webinar signups from live events to drive prospects closer to conversion
  • Conducting real time polls
  • Sharing downloadable prospecting lists pulled from Winmo (on collateral, promo cards, digital business cards)

Utilizing Flowcodes and Flowpages at conferences and trade shows has allowed our team to customize exclusive content and easily engage and build connections with attendees at industry related events. We create unique Flowcodes and Flowpages for events to cater and serve more relevant content -- Flowcode makes it easy to do that quickly as everything is very customizable and editable.

How have you seen your business grow since adopting Flowcode’s QR solution? What insights have you gathered through using our platform?

One big takeaway for our team is the learning that scanning a QR code, versus stationary business cards at trade shows and conferences, consistently resulting a higher post-show follow up rate with attendees and has allowed our team to create long lasting relationships. Digitizing our contact exchange process has been really effective for enabling these live connections to last and lead to a higher chance of partnership.

Overall, we’ve also seen a higher pre-show and post-show engagement rate on the content within our custom events Flowpages. We're a fan of Flowpage because it lets our team customize content and provide prospects with discounts and calls to action in real time, making it more engaging and actionable content overall.

Rather than spending money on merchandise and printed materials at events, especially because we're unsure if those items are thrown away right when they get home, Flowcodes allow us to give a unique visual and digital way of keeping Winmo top of mind for those attendees. Plus, we can reallocate our marketing budget to other places too!

Finally, through the analytics side of Flowcode we've been able to better track the engagement of attendees at events. We gather insights like how much interaction (number of scans or clicks) specific members of our sales team get and gain an indication of their performance in real time. Overall, this gives us a unique insight we've never had before.

What's next for Winmo? How will Flowcode be powering your latest business growth?

While Flowcode has been super useful for us, we're still in the early stages of adopting the product. Last year we had it present at over 11 conferences, which we plan to continue doing. In the future, we want to incorporate Flowcodes and Flowpages to other marketing channels throughout the year, including: internal employee engagement initiatives, customer retention strategies, and leveraging it as part of our product itself.
