How to Connect a QR Code to a Phone Number

How do I get a QR code for a phone number?

While creating a Flowcode, select the phone icon in “scan destination.” The code will scan to a phone number immediately after scanning.

The scan destination of an existing code can change to a phone number in “Edit Code Details” which is located in the individual code dashboard. Simply click on the code to access.

Can you make a QR code for a phone contact?

Creating a code to scan for a phone number does not automatically create a phone contact. Saving the number once scanning is possible to then save into a contact manually.

One of the benefits of linking a Flowcode code to a phone number is the ability to directly call rather than search for a number to reach out to. Utilizing a QR code on a website to scan a number to directly call a help desk, an operator, or help services is efficient to assist customers. After scanning, the phone number can be saved into contacts for quicker reference in the future.

Flowcode QR (Quick-Response) Codes are a safe, customizable, and advanced way to bridge the gap between offline experiences (print advertisements, television ads, marketing materials, etc.) and the online world through contactless connection. If your phone number changes but you have already printed your Flowcode, you can simply update the scan destination directly in your Flowcode.com account and edit the code details. This will update your code in real-time, without needing to reprint your materials.

Steps to create a QR code for your phone number

Step 1: Go to www.flowcode.com/free-qr-code-generator

Step 2: Login to your Flowcode.com account

Step 3: Navigate to the top left hand corner of the dashboard and select “Create”  —>  “Flowcode”. You will be redirected to the Flowcode generator where you will create your Flowcode and set the scan destination for a phone number.

Step 4: Once you’ve been redirected, select “Make one Flowcode”

Step 5: Name your Flowcode

Step 6: Under “I want my code to scan to”  select the"Phone" icon, and type in the phone number you wish the code to call after scanning.

Step 8: Select “Create” or “Create and Download” to start using your code! You must select “Create” or “Create and Download” in order to ensure your QR code is activated. Screenshotting your QR code will not activate your QR code. You must input your phone number in step #6, otherwise the “create” buttons will appear grayed out.
