How to Connect a QR Code to a YouTube Video
Flowcode Team

Want to make a QR code for your YouTube video? You can connect a QR code to your YouTube video as long as you have an active video on Youtube.com and a Flowcode.com account. You can also link a QR code to your youtube account to increase your subscriber count. To learn more, follow the step-by-step instructions below or watch a brief video.

Connecting a QR code to a YouTube video or account is a great way to drive traffic to your content instantly. Trackable QR codes allow you to track how and when your audience is engaging with your content through real time analytics. You can view the date, day of week, time of day, and device type of someone who is scanning a QR code to watch your video. These analytics are a great way to better understand your audience and inform your posting schedule and video formatting.

How to create a QR code for a YouTube video?

Step 1: Go to flowcode.com

Step 2: Login to your flowcode.com account

Step 3: Navigate to the top right hand corner of the dashboard and select “Create”  —>  “Flowcode”. You will be redirected to the Flowcode generator where you will create your Flowcode and set the scan destination to a Youtube video link of your choice.

Step 4: You will redirected to a page that looks like this

Step 5: Name your Flowcode

Step 6: Design your Flowcode. There are several options to choose from. Click here to learn more about how to design your code.

Step 7: Under “I want my code to scan to”  select the Youtube icon, and paste your website URL.

Step 8: Select “Create” or “Create and Download” to start using your code! You must select “Create” or “Create and Download” in order to ensure your QR code is activated. Screenshotting your QR code will not activate your QR code. You must input your Youtube link in step #7, otherwise the “create” buttons will appear grayed out.
