Creator Spotlight: How the Laricy Realtor Team is Getting More Leads with QR
Alex Rosenberg
Product Marketing Manager at Flowcode

Flowcode creator spotlight showcases the talents and skills from our community. Today, get to know Matt Laricy. He's the founder of Laricy, a real estate company based in Downtown Chicago.

Hey Matt, thanks for taking the time to chat. We have a TON of questions — but first, could you first tell me about Laricy?

Laricy - Americorp Ltd. is a top real estate company serving the Downtown Chicago area. We are industry leaders, trend-setters, and navigate the real estate market in a transparent way.

Your group seems to be responsible for the selling of some impressive properties in the Chicago area — how did you get there?

I followed in my father's footsteps towards becoming a real estate agent. Although, my journey was a bit different: I wanted to become the #1 real estate agent in Chicago. Fast forward 16 years, lots of blood, sweat, and tears, and I now have an award-winning team of brokers that ranks amongst the top 3 in Chicago!

How do you see this industry evolving in the years to come? Especially in such a competitive space?

Every day real estate is getting much more competitive. Pop culture has portrayed being a real estate agent as something glamorous and easy, but it's actually the complete opposite. Being a successful agent is extremely tough, and requires you to work hard for your clients all day, everyday. More people are buying homes now than ever before, and I see that trend continuing in the near future. In the end, those who succeed will do so because of their expertise, work ethic, and ability to go above and beyond for their clients. Buying and selling is at the best it has ever been in years.

It’s really cool to see how you incorporate QR technology into your listings — why did you decide to do it?

Homebuyers want to have all the information for a property at their fingertips. In the past, brochures were the go-to solution for this, but now QR codes have completely redefined the way we can distribute information to people. QR technology is something we've invested in since 2015, and in 2020 everyone scrambled to incorporate them into their business—something we were already prepared for. Typing in URLs is a thing of the past, and we believe QR codes will keep innovating the way we share, communicate, and connect with clients for years to come.

Love to hear it. When did you discover Flowcode and how?

Our Graphic Designer, Cesar Jimenez, discovered Flowcode at the start of January 2020. It only took a matter of days of testing all of the platform's advanced capabilities before we made Flowcode our go-to QR platform—and it still is to date.

Always listen to your designers! Have you seen an impact from Flowcode? How have QR codes helped your business?

Our mission is to make real estate easy and transparent for our clients and customers. Part of our streamlined UX relies on how easily we can make information available to potential buyers and sellers. QR codes help us keep information at our clients' fingertips, in a sustainable and future-proof way.

We put Flowcodes on print, digital, and large format signage/wayfinding. Flowpage as our social media"link in bio" solution. Flowtags as our go-to business card alternative to share our Flowpage.

It's amazing to see you're finding value in all of our products! Now I'm curious...what’s the most interesting way you’ve used QR codes?

We incorporated super large QR codes on the exterior signage system in one of our luxury New Development project in River North, Chicago. This helps us engage walking traffic into learning more about the building, and gives them access to all our marketing assets (brochures, videos, photography, etc) in seconds.

So great talking with you! If we're ever buying a home in downtown Chicago...we know who we'll call! If readers are interested in getting their own real estate proposal, fill out or survey below!
